The Five Second Rule

Thoughts are things. As true as the law of gravity, this is one of the fundamental laws in the universe. Whatever you believe with feeling, you bring into your life.

And like gravity, you don't have to believe in it for it to always be working in your life. Take gravity for example. If you were to step off a ten-story building, the law of gravity would take over and you would fall ten stories to the ground. Again, whether you believed in gravity or not.

And it is the same with the law of thought. Take your sales career, for example. Isn't it true that what you think about your company, about the leads, about the market, and especially about your income is exactly how you find it to be in your life? Now you may say that you think about everything the way it is because, well, that's the way it is at your job.

But what if it was that way because that's the way you think about it?

My experience has been (and thousands of others I have worked with over the years), that when I decided to make more money, and was committed to putting in the time and effort required for me to achieve that goal, then I started thinking about things (and seeing them) entirely differently.

And as soon as I started thinking and believing differently, my results automatically changed to reflect my new way of thinking.

Suddenly the leads weren't as bad as I thought they were; instead, I just worked them smarter and qualified better. Suddenly the market wasn't the problem (there were still top producers outperforming all others in our company, after all), it actually was the way I had been closing. And once I visualized myself earning a higher income, I achieved it.

The key to my success and to using my thoughts to bring something new into my life, was to stay focused on the feeling of having already achieved it. The more I could consistently do this, the faster I manifested it in my life.

And that's when I learned about the five second rule. I found that it was natural for me to fall back on my old thought patterns. But when I did, I gave myself five seconds to refocus on my new income goal. I kept returning, time and again, to my new goal and my new thoughts and feelings of having already achieved my goal.

By doing this, I was (and still am) able to bring new results into my life. And it's because thoughts are things. Whatever you believe with feeling, you bring into your life.

If you want to change any result or circumstance in your life, then first decide how you want it to be different (get a specific goal), and then surround yourself with all the thoughts and feelings of what it will be like to achieve it. The moment you find yourself thinking of something negative or not in alignment with your goal, get back to that image within five seconds.

It will take some practice, but the more consistently you can change your thoughts, the sooner you will turn those thoughts into the things in your life.

Go From Obstacles to Opportunities

We have all been through obstacles in life and either they pull us forward or hold us back. We can't control some of the things that happen to us in life, but we can control how we deal with them. We must release the power within and refuse to let any obstacles block our path to success. Any successful person will tell you that they faced struggles and at times they may have even wanted to give up. And there may have been times when you felt that way too. I know I have.

When we focus on the opportunity on the other side of the obstacle that can not only keep us in a positive mindset, but it can also produce positive results, and put us in an amazing position to be a blessing in the lives of others. How? Because your story can be inspiration for someone else.

When we are blessed to push through challenges it is not just to benefit our lives, but it is also so we can help others who are in the position we were blessed to overcome. One way to do that is as a Certified Life Coach. Coaching others is not just about helping them to set powerful goals and then achieve them. Yes, that is a critical part of coaching, but it is also about empowering others to overcome obstacles.

Obstacles are the things that stand in between where we are at and where we desire to be. But once we learn how to break through obstacles goal attainment can be easier. Why? Because there is an obstacle preparation plan.

I believe that one reason many people give up on their goals and dreams is because they are not adequately prepared to deal with the roadblocks of life. And who better to help them than someone who understands how to push through the things that are designed to stop you?

So, if you feel like that is you, then becoming a life coach may be a great next step for you. It won't cost you a fortune and the benefits are priceless

Zig Ziglar - Goal Setting

7 Steps to Cultivate Your Creativity

Being creative can be harder than you think! But it's a skill that you can easily learn with a bit of practice and a few simple steps.

Boost your creativity with some of the following exercises and see how many new ideas you can cultivate in no time.

1. Be a beginner. Go straight to the basics in something you have never done before. Waterski, crochet or write a poem for the first time and take all the first steps beginners do and ask all the same questions. Then turn around and wonder about your own project and assess it as if seeing it for the first time.

2. Make lists. In order to come up with the best ideas, you have to come up with a lot of ideas. So choose one aspect of your custom logo products and come up with as many variations as you can for that one part - the wilder the better. Some of your ideas will be silly, but maybe there is also your next great concept hidden in the midst.

3. Embrace the accidents. Many great discoveries came about through sheer accident. Learn from every scenario, even if it isn't what you hoped for, and be open to the possibility that the surprise is the better solution.

4. Use all your senses. To become an expert on something, you have to know everything about it from all sides. Taste, see, smell, feel and hear the sounds of your subject.

5. Creative time. Many artists and writers agree that the best time to be creative should be at the same time every day. Whether it's an hour before bed or first thing when you wake up, train your brain to be at its best at these certain times. Free write, sketch or otherwise brainstorm to spark that creativity "on demand."

6. Engage with someone different. There is no one type of creativity nor only one way to be creative. Connect with someone with whom you would normally disagree or not understand. You are bound to learn a lot about their kind of creativity and maybe something about your own as well.

7. Change the perspective. Take the question you have been working from and see how many ways you can rephrase and turn it around. Make sure your focus truly meets your audience's needs.

After exploring different techniques to being creative, consider which are the best, the ones worth pursuing. Look past the good of each to the pros and cons, to the worst case scenarios and everything in between. Put your ideas head to head and let the final best of them all win.

While you're working on honing your individual creativity, know that Pristine Screens proudly utilizes our team's collective creativity to design and develop the very best custom logo products. We have a wide range of design expertise, and are happy to share it with you as we create just the look to attract your audience.

What makes a good life? Lessons from the longest study on happiness | Robert Waldinger

Personal Expectations - The Juggling Act Between High Performance and Happiness

"You expect too much," my girlfriend tells me for the 2nd time in less than a week. We were not fighting, but she let me know that she felt that she had a hard time hitting my expectations, and that it was stressful. It was not making me happy either.

I mentioned to her that she is setting a low ceiling but that it was made of glass. She has the ability to breakthrough it if she wanted to. That might not have been the best thing to say, but it really got me thinking. Not everyone wants the same things I do. To some, a certain level of success is not worth the effort or pain it takes to get there, and that is OK. For me, I would like to bench press 300 pounds like Travis, but in my mind, it would take far too much to get there. So, I don't try. Like me not wanting to reach my potential physically, she does not want to reach her potential professionally. We all have different priorities. By me setting such a high expectation for her professionally, it created stress for her and disappointment for me.

I have similar high expectations for my staff, my friends, and my daughters. People who desire similar results to me appreciate it, and we get along great. I like when I get pushed professionally too! Those high expectations have helped to create the level of success I have now and is what is propelling me to reach new heights and new goals. I like to be around professionally successful people, and I enjoy the road it takes to get there.

I believe that high expectations are positive and are extremely useful on your road to success. With that said, I also understand that setting expectations that are not reached creates stress, anxiety, worry, and disappointment.

It has been said, the secret to happiness is low expectations. I can see the point. If you have low expectations, it is easier to exceed them, and exceeding expectations makes you happy. I remember asking a girl on a date in high school knowing full well I would get shot down. To my surprise she said yes! My expectations were low, and they were exceeded so I was happy. Funny thing is, I was so into this girl that I had high expectations about that date and guess what happened? Yep... I was disappointed.

Using a strategy of lowering expectations can definitely help with happiness. I cannot be too hard on it for this reason. But growth helps with happiness too, and high expectations are essential for growth. In fact, I don't believe someone can be truly happy without growth, so you can see why this is an interesting juggling act.

So, what is the balance?

I believe true happiness and success needs accurate expectations. Expectations cannot be out of reach or you will always be disappointed, but they need to be high enough to push you to get better. It is also not good to set high expectations for people in your life that don't want the same accomplishments you do. They should set their own expectations and communicate those to you; it might be OK to push a little, but there needs to be a lot of support with the push.

I think the key here is to set high but attainable expectations and communicate that well. Both to the people around you and to yourself.

Finding Your Creative Self

Creativity lives inside of every one of us. For those that think that you do not have a creative bone in your body I am going to disagree with you. I just think you have not found it just yet.
Have you tried every creative activity to see if there is a hint of enjoyment in it. I know one lady who thought the same about herself. She tried everything. Finally, she gave painting class a try.
She found there was a liking to it.
She went back again and again. She became better. She started feeling an inner calling to paint. She felt purpose for the first time in her life. Her painting teacher was amazed at her ever-increasing skill level.
The interesting thing was she was in her sixty's. This talent stayed dormant until she decided to try a few things. Now she is selling her painting for thousands of dollars. You may want to give up the search for your creative self.
Give it another shot.
There is someone who is searching for that very thing you can give the world. However, you will have to start digging. I can assure you if you turn over every stone. You will find something. It doesn't have to lead to financial bliss.
The bliss you feel will be right in your heart. You will have found happiness and those around you will appreciate you also. "But I have tried everything." You may be thinking. I thought the same thing
Then I started writing. I found a whole new world opened up for me. Freedom of expression. It' s not easy most days but when I force myself to start, something within me begins to flow. Which brings me to my question for you
Have you ever given writing a shot?
I mentioned a story earlier in this post about a woman who discovered painting in her sixties. There is another story about a man who was diagnosed with a terminal disease. He was given a few months to live. He picked up his pen and started writing as he thought it would be a good way to support his family when he was gone.
Six months went by. Then a year passed by. He completed four books. He did not die. The books became best sellers.
Sometimes it takes for us to backed against the wall to find out what we love and then do it. My final suggestion to you is if you can't find out what you love. Do something creative until you love it. I can assure you it will leave a lasting impact those around you.

Reverse inspiration: learning from the faults of others | Ramon Bautista | TEDxXavierSchool TAGALOG

How To Reprogram Your Mind (for Positive Thinking) - Brendon Burchard

Get Anything You Want By Changing Your Thinking!

Money is hard to get for most people. Money can be easy to get for other people. Why is that?

Growing up we aren't taught the proper way of thinking about money. High school doesn't teach us anything useful about it. College doesn't teach any real-world knowledge either. And our parents don't teach us how to think properly about it because they've never been exposed to the laws of attraction that govern the accumulation of money.

Wealthy people know how to THINK about money in the correct way. They learn the proper way of thinking about it to attract it to them. The have discovered the natural laws of attraction that affect how much money enters into their lives. And anyone can learn how to put these laws of attraction to use to increase the amount of money they accumulate.

You may laugh this concept off and say it's b.s., but believe me, wealthy people know the power of these truths. A wealthy person who knows how to think the proper way to attract money can lose every dime they have and by applying these natural laws they can become wealthy again in a short period of time. It happens all the time.

HOW CAN YOU ATTRACT MORE MONEY?

By changing your way of thinking...

Let's take a closer look at the natural laws of attraction concerning money. These laws can be used for finances, relationships, health, and any other area of your life. If you continously think about how little money you have, how hard it is to pay the bills, and how difficult it is to earn more money guess what will happen? You will continue to have only a little money, continue to struggle to pay the bills, and continue to earn what you now earn.

Why is this? Because the natural laws of attraction promise us we get what we think about. If you always focus your thinking on your lack of money you will always have that lack. If you always think about struggling to pay the bills you will always struggle. You get what you think about and this is a truth you cannot escape.

How can you change your thinking about money and put these powerful natural laws of attraction to use? It's a simple process, but it's not easy. It takes a concentrated effort throughout the entire day on your part to consciously realize how you've always thought about money and then make the effort necessary to begin to think differently.

THE IMPORTANCE OF GRATITUDE.

The first step in learning to use the laws of attraction is to be GRATEFUL for what you now have in your life. If you have food, shelter, and clothing you have the basis to change your life by changing your thinking. If you have a decent job, a comfortable place to live, good running vehicle, good family, and some creature comforts you need to take a deep, hard look at these things. You need to write down everything good in your life and realize you could have a lot less than you now have.

You need to be very grateful for these things you possess. Most people aren't grateful for what they already have because they are always thinking about what they don't have. To be grateful for what you now have imagine that you lost everything TOMORROW! You must start over without anything you now possess. You have no job, no home, and no vehicle. Believe me, it happens. Does this thought help move you to be thankful and grateful for what you now have? It should.

It doesn't matter if you earn $15,000, $25,000, or $75,000+ per year. Once you are grateful for what you have your thinking begins to "shift" from your previous way of thinking. You realize how fortunate you are compared to other people. You begin to have an "awareness" of your thinking, and your life, you did not have previously. This awareness opens you up to the next step in the law of attraction.

EXPECTING MORE MONEY IN YOUR LIFE.

The next step in putting the natural laws of attraction to use for you involves "expectation." It's now time to concentrate your thinking on expecting more good things and more money to come into your life. You now consciously "shift" your thinking away from what you don't have and concentrate on what you want. You concentrate on being grateful for all the good things that are on their way to you. Even though they may not be here yet you know in your mind they are coming to you. When you constantly are thinking and focusing on more money coming to you guess what happens? More good things, opportunities, and money begin to show up in your life.

You are no longer focusing all your thoughts on what you don't have and what a struggle your life is. You get what you think about. You're now focusing on the good things in your life and you're open to receive the abundance that is on its way to you. You have "shifted" your thinking from the bad to the good and this is very powerful. This opens you up to the laws of attraction and they begin to work in your life.

LEARNING AND GROWING.

What you have just read is very powerful information. You may never have been exposed to this way of thinking. Don't feel bad, because most people have never been taught to think this way. We've all heard of thinking positively, but learning about the laws of attraction are much deeper and more powerful than positive thinking. If you can "see" the truth in this way of thinking and can "shift" your daily thoughts to focus on the good things you now have and expect more to come to you then you must take time to learn more about this new way of thinking.

There are many books and websites that will help you to grow. You need to read and learn. This short article cannot provide you will all you need to make these changes. It's difficult to think this way throughout your day, but the more you do it the easier it gets. You will eventually think this way all the time and at that point your life is changing drastically.

We concentrated on attracting money into our lives in this article but this way of thinking will work in all areas of your life. It has totally changed my life in 2 short years. My financial situation, my family life, and my health have all improved. I went from always thinking about what I didn't have in my life to being grateful for what I do have and all that keeps coming to me. My daily attitude is different and my life will never be the same.

And this beautiful way of thinking is available to you anytime you are sick and tired of being sick and tired of your present life. Read and learn more and begin changing your life now...

Monitor And Manage Your Anger | Think Out Loud With Jay Shetty

How to Channel Anger Within & Be Massively Productive

Anger, desire for revenge and rage are very strong emotions. These emotions, if used for bad, can do harm and cause damage in your life on a multitude of levels. After all, "holding onto anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die" (Buddha). However, since these emotions are so powerful and full of energy, if channeled toward goals, dreams and the greater good, can soar you toward success.
Here Are 3 Ways to Take Your Anger Within & Be Massively Productive
  1. Refocus Back To you
When we are raging mad at someone who hurt us, we spend our days and nights ruminating on that person and everything they did to hurt us. The focus is on them. Instead, shift the focus back to you. Take a step back and think about what you want out of your life. Set goals for yourself and begin taking steps to achieve those goals right away, today. The motivation and energy you can muster up in a body full of adrenaline can be intense and can propel you forward. Forget baby steps, this anger channeled toward being productive instead of vengeful can send you leaping toward your goals.
  1. Get Physical
Now, more than ever is a time where you need to feel sexy, handsome, beautiful and full of life. Nothing can make you feel as confident in your own skin like physical activity. Exercise allows you to minimize negative emotions and release endorphins (those feel-good neurotransmitters). Take the power of anger to run faster and lift more weight. As you work out, imagine your body transforming into what you want it to become. Exercise can also reduce stress so that when you leave the gym, you are more mentally clear to make strong, solid decisions in a time that might be chaotic and upsetting.
  1. Learn More About Yourself
During a time of anger and rage a man/woman shows their true character. It is how you handle these strong emotions that shows your true colors and level of integrity. It is okay to be angry, it is a normal emotion but the key is how you release that emotion and what you can take from a trying time in life. To really gain self-awareness, journal. You can say all those nasty things you want to say, in your journal. In your journal, you can voice all your concerns and even how pains in your past might be coming out now in your adult years. Write about your emotions, decisions and thoughts. Writing things out does two things at the very least. First, it allows you to vent and get emotions out safely. This can help minimize nightmares and panic attacks that can stem from a buildup of emotions. Second, it allows you to note patterns of thoughts and behaviors. Eventually, this pain and these emotions will pass. You can then look back at your writings and note patterns and better understand what led you to certain emotions, actions and reactions. You can use your past journal entries as a tool to help you be more self-aware in the present and to help you react differently moving forward.

Do You Acknowledge Problems As They Arise?

There is a tendency nowadays to talk about challenges rather than problems. It is as if the word problem is slightly negative, whereas talking about a challenge seems more constructive. The idea that the notion of a problem is negative is a strange one. The idea of negative and positive approaches to life is of itself one that should be challenged.

Problems are a part of everyday life. How people define what it probably is will vary depending upon their situation. For some people a problem is not getting a 20 percent bonus on top of a six-figure salary. For other people, the problem may be how to feed a family and clothe them whilst on benefits or welfare.

There is nothing negative in acknowledging the reality of what the problem is. It is certainly true that the nature of the problem depends upon someone's perspective, and to an objective observer the above examples make that clear. However, to the individuals concerned the problem is their problem.

If someone considers something a problem, then to them it is a problem. It may be a worry or concern, that may seem strange to other people. On the other hand it may seem quite obvious.

It is important to never diminish what other people consider to be the problem, however difficult that maybe. Sometimes people refer to problems as high-class problems, implying that they are not really problems at all. What this does is fail to acknowledge the context of the person's life, and why they see that particular issue as a major problem.

The real issue is whether or not the person has the resources to flag up what they see as a problem, and are able to do something about it. This is central to the issue of acknowledging a problem as it occurs. This is sometimes referred to as a reality check.

People generally are reluctant to acknowledge a problem at the time they see it, because they are afraid they will not be able to deal with it. Thus the issue actually, is much more about the power and resources of the individual than the issue itself.

That is not to say that some problems are so difficult that they cannot be dealt with easily. However, the majority of the time, there are ways to survive. Sometimes it is simply about buying yourself enough time to be able to figure out the solution, or to ask for help in meeting your needs.

This issue of power over problems is fairly central. On the whole, it is not down to the issue of the problem, but more to the individual's sense of their own life. Whilst there are extremes, people on the whole either see themselves as being responsible for their lives, or see other people as being the actors.

A lot of people grow up in homes where there is either a lot of abuse, or alcoholism or addiction of some type. One of the main effects of this is to make them believe they have no control over their own lives, and that they have to rely on other people to make their lives happen.

This belief is common, and if taken on board early enough in childhood or adolescence, comes as the de facto belief system about themselves. This is why it is so difficult to shift, because it is essentially an inner child belief. Getting to it and dealing with it at an inner child level will inevitably give the individual a much greater sense of power and control over their own life.

Russell Brand On Being Lazy!

Your Wounds Are Your Gifts

One thing that one may have heard, if they are into self-development or on the healing path, is that their wounds are their gifts. Now, if one is in a lot of pain, it can be hard for them to get their head around this.

This could be a time when they are struggling with the fear of abandonment, feel worthless, and even have moments when they feel suicidal, for instance. What this could show is that their early years were anything but nurturing.
A Focus
So through being in so much pain, their main priority could be to find a way to change their life. Moving on from what is taking place is then going to be the only thing that matters, finding their so-called 'gifts' will be the last thing on their mind.
In a way, it can be similar to someone who is extremely hungry told that being this way will allow them to find things that are really precious. They will be hungry and everything else can be seen as being irrelevant.
Staying With It
However, as long as they keep going and don't give up, they are likely to find that their experience on this earth starts to change. This can be something that takes place with the assistance of a therapist or a healer.
The months and the years will pass by, and some of their inner wounds might not be as strong as they once were. If there are certain wounds that are still painful, having wounds that are not might make their life easier.
A New Outlook
At this point, they might start to see that due to the wounds that they have had, it has caused them to take their own path in life. As a result of the pain that they were in and the difficulties that they had, they might have simply not been able to go down the 'normal' path.
This might have been frustrating at the time but now they might be grateful that they have been able to step off the beaten track. And while they might still carry a fair amount of pain, this pain might not be so powerful that they are unable to experience inner peace or to feel comfortable in their own skin.
Settling Down
What this can also mean is that their wounds start to heal faster than they did before, even though their need to heal them is not as strong. This can be seen as something that is called the healing paradox.
It simply comes down to the fact that when one is attached to an outcome, it is less likely to take place. Yet, when they can let go of the need for something to happen, it is more likely to occur.
An Unexpected Outcome
Along with one taking a different route to others, there are a number of things that they can attain by having wounds and healing these wounds. For one thing, they can gain a deeper understanding of themselves and humanity as a whole.
Not only this, they can end up with a level of empathy and compassion that would probably be hard to attain any other way. They will have been to hell and back and know what it is like to truly suffer, which is why they will have the ability to understand other peoples pain and suffering and to assist them, if they so choose.
Final Thoughts
What seemed like a burden at one point in time can be seen as a blessing at another point in time. One could come to believe that they needed to go through what they went through in order to gain the understandings and the skills that they needed to fulfil their purpose on this earth.

If they hadn't done the work that they did on themselves, though, what took place would have defined them instead of redefined them. This would have prolonged their pain and set them up to lead a miserable existence.

How to Achieve Your Most Ambitious Goals | Stephen Duneier | TEDxTucson

Do You Set Realistic Goals?

Any type of goal setting is often considered a fundamental part of any type of personal development or life coaching or 12-step recovery. The idea is simply to set objectives that you then try to achieve. At some point, you evaluate your efforts and results and make any necessary adjustments that may be due.
The question of realistic goals is really important. The goal must be achievable in some way, and at the same time must not be too easy so that it does not require any effort to stretch on the part of the person trying to achieve it.
When looking at goals that other people are setting, it is quite easy to be reasonably objective about what you think they can and cannot achieve. This is especially true if you know the person well, or you know their situation or environment.
Where it becomes more difficult, is where the individual has real levels of self-doubt about their own capabilities, and find the very notion of goal setting difficult to imagine.
It is not, usually, that the person does not want to achieve things. It is more that they struggle with the notion of how much control they have over their own life. On the whole, people tend to set goals that are not achievable, either because they aim too high, or they sometimes give up too easily.
Setting realistic goals is a very hard thing to do. Failure to meet goals can reinforce a lot of negative thinking about someone's ability to have control of their life. This can make any type of meeting future goals even more difficult.
One of the ways through this is to stop setting goals that are very specific. This tends to go against the standard advice about goal setting. People normally say set very clear and specific goals, that can easily be measured. Whilst this is sound advice in one sense it does make the whole issue much more black and white than it needs to be.
What sometimes works much better, is for people to set goals that are really about a process, rather than a specific milestone or event. The nature of process is much easier to grasp, is actually very easy to evaluate and does not tend to be so judgemental.
When talking about being judgemental, it is important to realise that it is normally the person themselves who are quite judgemental about their abilities of performance. This sense of judgment is likely to be about their sense of self or their identity.
The nature of process allows people to move forward from a position of where they are, at their own pace. In some ways, this is a good thing, as it does not force people beyond the capabilities. At the same time, one of the benefits of goal setting is to stretch people to do more than they thought they were able to.
Goal setting that revolves around a process can do this by instilling a sense of self-belief in the person, that can overcome a sense of negativity or judgement that may be there in the first place. Using a process-based goal setting agenda involves a different mindset to normal goal setting.
It is however, just as achievable, and in many ways can be of much more benefit to people who struggle with their sense of self, or low levels of self-worth or self-esteem.

Preparation - Be Prepared to Succeed

1.What does it mean to prepare?

Preparation is a principle where you get yourself ready to do something and do it well. It could be getting ready for a future event, a milestone or even the accomplishment of a project. If you are making something, for example a meal or baking a cake you are meticulous in your preparation so that the outcome is acceptable and enjoyable by others. Preparation is a life principle. It applies whether you want to produce a work of art, an enjoyable meal or a successful business. What you produce in life is a result of your level of readiness. What you do behind the scenes when no one is watching is more important than what you get to showcase. Preparation, though costly, is worth it because the results will show in one's life. A successful life means that you prosper financially, in your career, in your health, mentally as well as spiritually. If you look around that person's life there's nothing you can pinpoint as not working and it takes readiness and preparation. It follows then that in order for you to prepare you must have a vision, a goal or an object of attainment. What is your desired outcome? Decide what it will take to accomplish it and put a plan in place.

2.When do you prepare?

You do not prepare on the day of battle, performance or execution. Speak to any mother and they will tell you that you do not do "preparation" for the baby the day she is born. The wedded will tell you that for the day to be glorious there is a lot of effort and resources that are invested in the success of that event. If you should ace that interview, you cannot prepare on the day and expect to be successful. I have spent many years in sales and marketing. I have learned that going for a sales pitch or a product demonstration with a prospective client demands preparation. Ill- preparation simply leads to a diminished likelihood of your product being bought by the client. Professional athletes do not practice on match day. The movie stars we admire and love to watch have taken years honing their skill. The same can be said of musicians, medical professionals, engineers, teachers, in fact everyone who takes what they do seriously.

Preparation is done in advance. How far in advance depends on the undertaking. Some things take a year, a month, a week or a day. Yet others will take decades and a lifetime of doing it over and over again. Just a thought: we prepare our children for a lifetime of success by training them and teaching them good habits whilst we live with them. That way, they will know what to do even when you are not there to instruct them.

3.Why should you prepare?

Preparation ensures victory.Do you have plans? What preparations have you put in place for their accomplishment. If you go into a battle ill-prepared you will be outwitted, outplayed and outmanoeuvred by your opponent. Master farmers understand the need to prepare their fields for a great harvest. What have you done so far to ensure that this year is better than last year? Some new year's resolutions are laughable because they will simply not be achieved. The reason is because they are made out of tradition without putting in place mechanisms for attainment. In the event that you do not win you have the assurance that you did you best, you came prepared and it just wasn't your day. You minimize your chances of regret when you take the time to condition yourself mentally, spiritually, emotionally and physically for what you are about to face. The other reason is that you are nurturing a good habit for success that will pay off at a certain stage of your life. So you are not just preparing for the specific event but you are building yourself up as a person.

4. How do you prepare?

Are you looking at a "next level" move in your business, career or relationships? Get ready! Maybe it's time to launch that new product or improve on your current offering. For some people it might mean enrolling for school or an online course to gain a new skill if the objective is to find a new job or a promotion. For others it may mean putting together a physical fitness plan in order to participate in that gruelling marathon that you have been putting off for a long time. As I mentioned earlier, the nature of your preparation and the length of your preparation is determined by what you are getting ready for. If you sense that you can achieve great things if you had a bit of guidance get a mentor or a coach. The help you get will bring out the best in you.

In conclusion, you may be the kind of person that spontaneously jumps into things without much preparation or consideration of what it will take to win in that endeavour. It's not too late to develop a culture of preparation. For the things that you need to know that you do not know there are plenty of resources online, books, tutorial videos. You can tap into that wisdom and most of all there could be someone, somewhere in your network that has already walked the journey you are about to embark on. Have a chat with them and you'll be surprised what insights you will get. A wise man once said, "It is better to be prepared for an opportunity and not have one, that to have an opportunity and not be prepared for it"

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF (ft. Jaret Grossman & Eric Thomas)

The Law Of Attraction, Really?

There are a lot of non-believers on the Law of Attraction and that’s because we live in a society where negativity and judgment are the norm, and realizing you’re responsible for what’s been created in your life is a hard concept for our egos to swallow, but our time in our physical bodies and on earth doesn’t have to be that way; we have free-will and we have a choice.

What is the Law of Attraction? The Law of Attraction is the most powerful law in the Universe. It is a “new thought” that means “like attracts like”. Our thoughts and images manifest into things, “what you think about, you bring about”, so as you focus on your thoughts you’re transmitting; therefore, as energy magnets, the Universe must deliver “like” things on that same frequency as our vibrations.

Why the Law of Attraction? Why not? By practicing the law of attraction you can attract abundance. You can virtually change every aspect of your life: wealth, health, relationships, and happiness and receive everything you want.

Is it hard to do? It is only as easy or as hard in the eye of the beholder. The first step to change is awareness. Thoughts enter our mind every minute of the day, so you already practice the law of attraction, but now choose your thoughts more carefully. It does not take a lot of effort, just practice and consistency. Use your thoughts to ask the Universe for what you want. Then believe you already have it, even the unseen. Finally, let go of any resistance and receive.

How does it work? In order for the law of attraction to work your vibrations have to be an emotional match to your desires. Most people think about what they don’t have or don’t want and wonder why they keep getting more of it. If you don’t have a lot of money and feel bad about it, then that is the signal you are putting out. If you want to change your life for the better, change the frequency by changing negative thoughts to persistent, positive ones. Use visualization to create images of your thoughts. The easiest, fastest way to change your thoughts to positive ones is to “feel good”. Thoughts of gratitude and love are great ways to make that emotional shift of feeling good.

We are energy and as energy we give off vibrations. Our thoughts and images affect our feelings. Our feelings affect our vibrations, so if we feel bad we’re in a low vibrating frequency. When we feel good were in a high vibrating frequency and that’s when we’re an emotional match to our desires, so when you ask the question the law of attraction, really? The answer is yes, all is well, really.
